KINTEX Concert Guide: GTX-A, Hall Numbers and Nearby Hotels

Reach KINTEX by GTX-A, distinguish Exhibition Centers 1 and 2, save the correct hall and compare a local stay with returning to Seoul.

Last editorial review: October 25, 2026.

A KINTEX ticket needs more than a city name. It needs an exhibition center and a hall number. The fast railway part can be straightforward while the last walk still takes you to the wrong building.

Quick answer

From Seoul Station, compare GTX-A to Kintex Station (킨텍스역), then route to the exact center and hall on the performance notice. KINTEX 1 contains Halls 1–5; KINTEX 2 contains Halls 6–10. For repeated concert days, compare a KINTEX/Ilsan stay with the full return journey to Seoul, not just the train ride. [1] [2]

Decode the venue line before booking anything

Wording in your noticeWhat to save in your map
Exhibition Center 1 / 제1전시장The first building plus the numbered hall
Exhibition Center 2 / 제2전시장The second building plus the numbered hall
A particular hall, event space or entranceThe event map, not only the complex’s general pin
Goyang StadiumA different venue; open the stadium guide instead

KINTEX’s own facilities pages are the official place to begin checking the complex; the ticket platform’s venue description also separates the two buildings and hall groups. The performance’s temporary stage and queue arrangement still comes from its organizer. [3] [2]

A convention-center floor plan is not a promise of a particular concert seat view. Temporary floor seating, standing areas and production structures can change the usable space. Inspect the event seating plan before choosing a category.

Getting there from Seoul Station

The Seoul Station–Kintex GTX-A connection is established in Goyang City’s transport reporting. Follow the station’s GTX-A signs, choose the service toward Kintex and confirm the stop on the live departure display. [1]

Do not confuse the headline railway journey with the entire trip. Your total includes reaching the GTX platform, waiting, exiting the destination station and walking to your assigned hall. An itinerary that leaves only the train’s running time will undercount the task.

Use the operator’s current timetable for the performance date. Its web pages could not be fully retrieved during this review, so no current last train, fare or claim about through-running from other GTX-A sections is fixed in this article. The official timetable link remains a direct place to check. [4]

When Line 3 may be worth comparing

A Line 3 journey to Daehwa (대화역) is another route to evaluate from a Line 3 hotel. It requires a separate last leg to your exhibition building. Do not assume that a useful station for nearby Goyang Stadium places you at a KINTEX hall entrance. Compare the door-to-door route for the actual building. [5] [2]

If travelling from the airport, compare the route to your hotel first as well as a direct trip to the event. Do not bring a large suitcase to a hall on the assumption that station or venue storage will have space.

Find the queue, not just the hall number

Save the organizer’s arrival map before the day. Mark ticket collection, identity checks, merchandise, standing assembly and admission separately if they are listed. A queue beside a hall may not be the queue you need.

Ask the organizer about accessible entry and seating if needed. A rail station’s accessibility information does not by itself establish an unobstructed route through a temporary event layout. Allow time for staff to direct you rather than relying on a generic diagram.

For a numbered standing ticket, check what the number means and when assembly closes. Do not read it as a guaranteed chair or an instruction to arrive when the music starts.

Hotel choice: local convenience or a Seoul base?

KINTEX/Ilsan: useful to compare for consecutive performances or a trip centered on the show. Check the exact hotel entrance, not just “Goyang” in the listing. Seoul Station area: useful to compare when you also need central travel connections, but only with a workable late return from the event.

SONO CALM GOYANG is an identifiable local property with an official hotel site. It is a comparison starting point, not an available-room claim or a tested walking recommendation. Check your dates, actual walking route, check-in deadline and selected room conditions. [6]

When comparing cost, include the repeated return trips and any luggage movement. A cheaper room can become less convenient if it requires another last connection after reaching Seoul Station.

December 24–25: SBS Gayo Daejeon needs an event-specific hall plan

SBS has announced its 2026 year-end festival at KINTEX on December 24–25. The first lineup is not a per-day running order. This review did not establish the exact exhibition hall, performance times or authorized public booking/application route. [7]

Use the dated calendar for the initial lineup. Do not reuse an earlier summer event’s INSPIRE location or a reseller’s hotel-ticket bundle as proof of this winter event’s terms. Choose a refundable Ilsan/KINTEX room only after checking its cancellation deadline; a Seoul Station base additionally needs a workable GTX-A return connection. [8]

FAQ

Is Kintex Station the same as KINTEX Exhibition Center 1?

No. The station is a transport stop; you still need the building and hall from the event notice.

Is a map pin for KINTEX enough?

Not for a time-sensitive admission plan. Save the numbered hall and organizer’s entry or collection point too.

Can I rely on an opening-day GTX timetable from a blog?

Use it only as historical information. Check the operator for your travel date and direction before using it as a return plan. [4]

Your next move

Copy the exact center and hall into your trip note. Compare GTX-A and any useful Line 3 option door to door, then decide whether a local hotel removes a late transfer you would rather avoid.
